How does the FLOW work?

Before heading into a stall, fill your FLOW with water. Then go into the stall and remove and empty your menstrual cup as usual. Clip your cup into your FLOW, wind up the lid, and know that FLOW is cleaning your cup faster than your fingers ever could. At the end of your wash cycle, simply dump the used water into the bowl and wind up your FLOW for a dry cycle. Feel free to run the UV light as well for a pathogen-free cup!

One menstrual cup, cared for properly, can last up to 10 years. This translates to significant savings not only for the planet by replacing wasteful single-use products, but also for the user by saving as much as $1,565 by avoiding ten years of monthly costs! Over the average 40 years of menstruation, this translates to a $6,260 savings!

How does the FLOW encourage sustainable period care?

Why should I clean/sterilize my menstrual cup?

Bathroom surfaces are often exposed to bacteria from human feces. Bacteria, if introduced to the vagina, can cause problems like toxic shock syndrome and bacterial vaginosis. For this reason, the FLOW features a UV light to rid the cup of pathogens that may be present, ensuring safe insertion.

Does it work with any menstrual cup?

The FLOW housing accommodates all sizes of menstrual cups, and we are working to design a clip that can accommodate both straight line and ring stem designs.

What is the FLOW made out of?

The FLOW is still in the prototyping phase, but the two major materials we're considering are stainless steel for the inner body (to maximize UV sanitation) and plastic that is both water and UV-resistant such as Tritan for the lid and base.

Where can I use the FLOW?

Anywhere! The small size and water bottle-esque design is meant to make your period care portable and discreet. Use in a bathroom stall, the great outdoors, or at home; no matter where you travel with the FLOW, it's guaranteed to make your period care routine better for your wallet and for the environment.
